The short version. Wispo is operated by Nuage Digital Ltd, a UK company. Use Wispo for your own personal note-taking. Don't record people without their consent. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly or yearly through Apple unless you cancel. We provide the app "as is" with no guarantee of perfect transcription accuracy. These terms are governed by English law.
These Terms are an agreement between you and Nuage Digital Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales ("Nuage Digital", "we", "us", "our"). Nuage Digital is the publisher and operator of the Wispo iOS app ("Wispo", "the app", "the Service") and the wispo.co.uk website.
By downloading, installing, or using Wispo you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.
If you subscribed via Apple's App Store, the Apple-standard EULA at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula also applies. Where these Terms and Apple's EULA conflict, these Terms prevail except where Apple's terms are legally required to control.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use Wispo. By using the app you confirm you meet that requirement.
Wispo offers a Pro subscription with two billing cycles:
Pro unlocks unlimited AI-generated notes, cross-device sync, the smarter Llama 3.3 70B model, and larger Whisper transcription models. Free users have access to recording and basic note-taking.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID will be charged at the price displayed in the App Store at the time of renewal.
Cancel any time in your iOS Settings under Apple ID → Subscriptions, or via App Store → Profile → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep Pro access until then. No partial refunds for unused subscription time.
The 7-day free trial on the Yearly plan can only be redeemed once per Apple ID per subscription group. If you cancel during the trial, no charge is taken and you keep Pro access until the trial ends. If you do not cancel, the annual subscription begins at the end of day 7.
Refund requests are handled by Apple, not by us. To request a refund, follow Apple's process at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot process refunds directly because we never receive your payment.
Use Wispo for lawful, personal note-taking and productivity. Specifically, you agree NOT to:
You are responsible for what you record. We do not pre-screen recordings or transcripts and have no way to do so — your audio never reaches us. But you remain solely responsible for legal compliance in your jurisdiction.
You retain full ownership of every recording, transcript, and AI-generated note you create with Wispo. We claim no rights over your content.
Granting Wispo a licence to process your transcript so we can generate notes — i.e. sending it to Groq or routing it through our proxy — is necessary for the service to function. That licence is non-exclusive, royalty-free, and limited to delivering the features you've actively requested.
Whisper transcription and AI-generated notes are best-effort, not guaranteed accurate. Both technologies sometimes misunderstand speech, hallucinate facts, or omit important information. Wispo's outputs should not be relied on for:
Verify important transcripts against the original audio. We provide playback for this reason.
We aim for reliable service but make no uptime guarantee. The cloud features (sync, AI notes) depend on third-party providers (Firebase, Groq, Apple). If any of those providers experience an outage, Wispo's cloud features may be temporarily unavailable. On-device recording and transcription continue to work offline.
We may add, change, or remove features without notice. Where a change materially reduces what your subscription provides, we will notify you and offer the option to cancel with a pro-rated refund of any unused time.
You can stop using Wispo at any time by deleting the app from your device or signing out and deleting your account (see the Privacy Policy for account deletion).
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms in a material way — particularly section 4 (acceptable use). In serious cases (illegal use, abuse of the AI providers) we may do so immediately and without refund.
Wispo is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law that cannot be excluded or limited.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you have paid for Wispo in that period, or (b) £100.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages — including lost data, lost productivity, or business interruption.
Nothing in this section limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK consumer law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except where consumer protection law in your jurisdiction grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be announced inside the app on next launch. Continued use after a material change means you accept the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
Questions about these Terms: [email protected]. Postal correspondence can be addressed to Nuage Digital Ltd at the registered office on file with Companies House.
